Serial numbers for the period of 1946 through 1950 include Hunter and Fulton shotguns. Serial numbers of guns produced by the Marlin Firearms Company (1968-71) had a prefix of FWM. You will need to know if the shotgun is pre-1913 or later gun because some of the early serial numbers were repeated in later years. Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a red painted front sight bead on a full length ventilated and serrated rib. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are hand checkered hardwood. The buttstock has a checkered pistol grip. There are only a few light compression marks.
The LOP measures 13 7/8” from the front of the forward trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition. Type of Finish: Blue Finish Originality: All Original Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is No erosion. Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows thinning on the hard edges and only light scuffs and handling marks from use scattered throughout.
The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear.

The underside of the receiver is marked “686507 MOD 151”. The top of the barrel is marked “12 GAUGE 2 ¾ IN FULL / PROOF TESTED”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN BRAZIL / BY COMPANHIA BRASILEIRA DE CARTUCHOS / S. ANDRE EST S PAULO”.
The top of the barrel is marked “S.S. TROY, MICH 48084”. Barrel Length: 28” Choke: Full Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a steel bead front sight. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth hardwood. There are compression and handling marks on the stocks.
